Alejandro has over 10 years of experience conducting impact and performance evaluations of social programs. He applies rigorous methods to the design and implementation of program evaluations, including sampling, survey design, and econometric analysis.
Alejandro’s research focuses on human capital related interventions. He has conducted impact evaluations of education programs in Colombia, the Republic of Georgia, Zambia, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Liberia, and Kiribati. He is currently conducting an evaluation of a school-based health and nutrition intervention in Guatemala; a youth-at-risk intervention and an early reading intervention in the Dominican Republic; and a first-time parents intervention in Tanzania.
